2023 SFTI- Piattaforma International Conference / Expanding Global Collaboration, Leading to Innovation
“Luck does not exist. There is the moment when talent meets opportunity” wrote the philosopher L. A. Seneca. Based on this premise, a synergy was born between Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda ETS, the Assessorato alle Politiche del Lavoro of the Municipality of Milan and the Salvatore Ferragamo Spa group to support a high-level training course for 4 talented students from the Scuole Civiche di Moda e Sartoria in Via Fleming and Via Visconti in Milan as part of the Patto per il Lavoro.
The 4 scholarships for three-year higher education courses were sponsored in part by the Ferragamo group, the initial promoter of the project, and by 4 Academies associated with Piattaforma that joined the call: Accademia Costume & Moda, Accademia della Moda IUAD, Istituto Secoli and NABA, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti.
On 6 September, in the setting of Sala Alessi at Palazzo Marino, the President of Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda Matteo Secoli, together with Alessia Cappello, Councillor for Economic Development and Labour Policies of the Municipality of Milan, and Leonardo Ferragamo, President of Salvatore Ferragamo Spa, handed over the scholarships for the three-year courses to the selected candidates: Thanks to the project, Evgenjia Morgun will attend the “Fashion Product System” course at Accademia Costume & Moda; Geraldina Gabbi Contesini will be able to enrol in the “Fashion Design” course at Accademia della Moda IUAD; Stephanie Zuniga will attend the “Fashion Design and Fashion Product Technology” course at Istituto Secoli; and Yasmin Morcy will attend the “Fashion Design” course at NABA, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti.
