Now in their 22nd edition, the CHI È CHI Awards, conceived and organised by Cristiana Schieppati, director of CHI E’ CHI and sponsored by the City of Milan and the National Chamber of Fashion, have for years been an authoritative recognition involving the entire fashion community. From this edition, to highlight even more the sense of belonging to this important sector, the awards become the Fashion Community Awards – CHI È CHI Awards.
For the first time in this edition, the Fashion & The City award was presented, an honour designed to valorise projects that strengthen the link between fashion and the city of Milan..
During the ceremony, the award was assigned by Alessia Cappello, Assessora for Economic Development and Labour Policies with responsibility for Fashion and Design, to the Association Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda ETS, represented by Matteo Secoli, President of the Association’s Board of Directors.
An award that aims to reward the important contribution that Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda ETS has been providing to the fashion segment since 2008 through its activity of connection and synergy between educational institutions of excellence in Italy and companies in the sector.
It is a organisation that promotes innovation and the growth of new talent and contributes to the creation of effective tools for aligning educational offerings and market needs, creating a system with institutions at all levels, local, national and international, and fostering collaborations with the best international fashion training systems.
Matteo Secoli, President of the Board of Directors of Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda ETS, says, “I am very proud to receive this prestigious award that rewards the commitment, dedication and passion that the Association shows every day to support the educational institutions and students of our system.
It is an award that I share with all our schools, an incentive to continue along the path of teaching and commitment to helping young people build a career in the world, which is not always easy, of fashion; an award that rightly draws attention to the importance and centrality of the education system for the competitiveness of the Italian fashion industry. This award, granted by Alessia Cappello, Assessora for Economic Development and Employment Policies with responsibility for Fashion and Design of the Municipality of Milan, makes us proud of the path taken by Piattaforma: the Municipality of Milan has been supporting us for years in our activities, including Fashion Graduate Italia, one of our flagships, which will be held in Milan in early November 2022″.
