Matteo Secoli, President of Istituto Secoli, is the new President of the Board of Directors of Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda ETS who, together with Alberico Guerzoni, Director of IED Milan, as Vice-President, will lead the Association for the next four years. On 18 January, the Board of Members elected the two leaders together with the Board of Directors’ members Giuseppina Auricchio (Director of Accademia della Moda IUAD), Alessandro Bertini(Director of Istituto Modartech) and the outgoing President Donato Medici (Managing Director of NABA, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti and CEO of Galileo Global Education).
“Our Association aims to consolidate relationships and exchange with all the institutional stakeholders in the sector, with the spirit of service and openness that characterises our member academies and schools: education will increasingly be a focus around which the competitiveness of the Italian fashion industry will develop in the coming years with the need, on the one hand, for creative skills and professionalism that can foster the digital evolution (or revolution) and, on the other hand, the imperative to maintain, in Italy, the ability to “make” fashion and support the generational change underway with the entry of young professionals into the sector,” says Matteo Secoli, President of Istituto Secoli and newly elected President of Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda ETS.

“Increasing the positioning of the Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda Association is a necessity that deserves the utmost attention in the coming years, in order to continue supporting emerging design talent,” says Alberico Guerzoni, Director of IED Milan and new Vice President of Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda ETS. “We will commit ourselves to ensure that the Fashion Graduate Italia, starting from the central role of Milan, can open up to scenarios that have not yet been explored, on the strength of the attractiveness that we also maintain for foreign students. The internationality of the relationships will be fundamental to broaden the scope of the Association and to find new synergies with organisations that pursue the same mission“.
