Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda has taken up the invitation of the Associazione IoSono to involve students from its member schools, representing the main Italian academies, institutes and universities of art, fashion and design, in the first edition of the Festival dell’Umano. The event brings together students, politicians, managers, entrepreneurs, academics and leading professionals to think about the role of the Human Being in the digital age.
The names of the winners of the fourth edition of the Fashion Graduate Italia 2020 Contest, promoted by Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda, have been revealed. On the podium the three best portfolios selected by the Popular Jury. Five Special Mentions were awarded by the Quality Jury.
During the Milano Fashion Week in September 2020, eleven schools of Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda become protagonists of an innovative digital edition of Fashion Graduate Italia, promoted in collaboration with Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana. Two worlds, education and the fashion industry in constant dialogue, communicate in a common space: the Italian Education Hub. Eleven schools of Piattaforma Moda exhibit photographic lookbooks of the students’ collections, Fashion Films and videos that tell the creative philosophy of each school.
On February 18th, 2020, students from 15 schools and fashion academies associated with Piattaforma Moda were the protagonists of the “Sustainable Visions” fashion show, dedicated to sustainable fashion and hosted by MICAM, the leading international exhibition in the footwear industry, within the Micam X area, an area dedicated to creativity.
The participating schools proposed 26 outfits created by students, 9 looks created by groups of designers and 10 creative proposals of sustainable footwear, for a total of 45 outfits.
On February 4th, 5th and 6th, 2020 the Schools and Academies associated with Piattaforma Moda took part in the 30th edition of Milano Unica, the international event dedicated to high-end clothing textiles.
Twenty-seven designers from the associated schools presented their complete collections to offer style and skills to companies looking for new talent.
From 2020 also Fondazione Fashion Research Italy (FRI) becomes member of Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda. Fondazione FRI was created with the aim of enhancing leading manufacturing excellencies of the history of Made in Italy fashion through a didactic exhibition center in which to foster: protection of companies’photographic archives, training and technological research in the various sectors of the manufacturing industry, giving visibility to new talents and creative trends.
