After the success of past editions, Fashion Graduate Italia, the fashion week for young people and open to the public, is back! The 2022 edition will be dedicated to the topic of sustainable innovation and will include three days of fashion shows, exhibitions, talks and workshops.
The event, promoted by Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda Ente del Terzo Settore, will take place on 3, 4 and 5 November at BASE Milano and in streaming. From 21 September, at www.fashiongraduateitalia.it, you can discover the calendar of the activities and register for the event.
Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda Ente del Terzo Settore was awarded the first Fashion & the Cityaward at the Fashion Community Awards – Chi È Chi Awards 2022. The awards ceremony was held on 20 September in the Sala Alessi of Palazzo Marino. Now in their 22nd edition, the CHI È CHI Awards, conceived and organised by Cristiana Schieppati, director of CHI E’ CHI and sponsored by the City of Milan and the National Chamber of Fashion, have for years been an authoritative recognition involving the entire fashion community. From this edition, to highlight even more the sense of belonging to this important sector, the awards become the Fashion Community Awards – CHI È CHI Awards.
Matteo Secoli, President of Istituto Secoli, is the new President of the Board of Directors of Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda ETS who, together with Alberico Guerzoni, Director of IED Milan, as Vice-President, will lead the Association for the next four years. On 18 January, the Board of Members elected the two leaders together with the Board of Directors’ members Giuseppina Auricchio (Director of Accademia della Moda IUAD), Alessandro Bertini(Director of Istituto Modartech) and the outgoing President Donato Medici (Managing Director of NABA, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti and CEO of Galileo Global Education).
The Fashion Schools and Academies tell about the creativity and skills of their students with a phygital format, combining physical and digital events, to celebrate and support Italian fashion education.
The seventh edition of the event, which will take place from 24 to 26 October 2021 at BASE Milano. The event will be four three days of fashion shows, exhibitions, talks, master classes, workshops, job placements and is also available through online streaming, enriched with exciting new initiatives for both online and offline viewers. On October 27 graduates will attend a phygital edition of the Job Speed Date.
Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda ETS has taken up the invitation of the Associazione IoSono to involve students from its member schools, representing the main Italian academies, institutes and universities of art, fashion and design, in the first edition of the Festival dell’Umano. The event brings together students, politicians, managers, entrepreneurs, academics and leading professionals to think about the role of the Human Being in the digital age.
The names of the winners of the fourth edition of the Fashion Graduate Italia 2020 Contest, promoted by Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda ETS, have been revealed. On the podium the three best portfolios selected by the Popular Jury. Five Special Mentions were awarded by the Quality Jury.
During the Milano Fashion Week in September 2020, eleven schools of Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda ETS become protagonists of an innovative digital edition of Fashion Graduate Italia, promoted in collaboration with Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana. Two worlds, education and the fashion industry in constant dialogue, communicate in a common space: the Italian Education Hub. Eleven schools of Piattaforma Moda ETS exhibit photographic lookbooks of the students’ collections, Fashion Films and videos that tell the creative philosophy of each school.
On February 18th, 2020, students from 15 schools and fashion academies associated with Piattaforma Moda ETS were the protagonists of the “Sustainable Visions” fashion show, dedicated to sustainable fashion and hosted by MICAM, the leading international exhibition in the footwear industry, within the Micam X area, an area dedicated to creativity.
The participating schools proposed 26 outfits created by students, 9 looks created by groups of designers and 10 creative proposals of sustainable footwear, for a total of 45 outfits.
On February 4th, 5th and 6th, 2020 the Schools and Academies associated with Piattaforma Moda ETS took part in the 30th edition of Milano Unica, the international event dedicated to high-end clothing textiles.
Twenty-seven designers from the associated schools presented their complete collections to offer style and skills to companies looking for new talent.
From 2020 also Fondazione Fashion Research Italy (FRI) becomes member of Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda ETS. Fondazione FRI was created with the aim of enhancing leading manufacturing excellencies of the history of Made in Italy fashion through a didactic exhibition center in which to foster: protection of companies’photographic archives, training and technological research in the various sectors of the manufacturing industry, giving visibility to new talents and creative trends.
