Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda ETS together with Centro di Firenze per la Moda Italiana in the talk 'Ecodesign and sustainable future in Italian Fashion Education. Training and the new industrial challenges'.
The President of Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda ETS, Matteo Secoli, at the invite of Centro di Firenze per la Moda Italiana (CFMI), participated in the organising committee of the Talk “Ecodesign and sustainable future in Italian Fashion Education. Education and the new industrial challenges”, also attending as a speaker as institutional representative of Piattaforma in this important moment of debate that took place on 28 June 2023 within Pitti Filati Immagine.
The Talk presented a focus on the opportunities and weaknesses of the new scenario represented by the introduction of the European Ecodesign Regulation. The renowned speakers involved explored in depth the aspects of a regulation that will particularly affect the way products are designed, focusing on the circular economy, the efficient use of resources and materials, and therefore the life cycle of products, their durability, reparability and recyclability.
Centro di Firenze per la Moda Italiana, launched a debate on the opportunities and critical points of this new scenario and did so by involving a selection of protagonists from the world of Italian Fashion Education, entrepreneurs, creatives and experts, with the aim of starting to trace the perspective for an ‘Italian way’ to Ecodesign. The Ecodesign dimension represents a new frontier for creatives and designers and is a challenge that from today invests above all the world of schools and fashion academies.
